| 4. | yeah, well...I did count two reentrants, just started counting in the wrong place. Dog saw that I was an idiot and went back to the start. | ||||||

| 6. | was too high. Saw reentrant curve away and though it must be lower, but wasn't sure, went back to W ditch until sure then returned. | ||||||

| 8. | went left to park bdy and ran into the green mess. drifted right to get out to the trail. Vowed to cut in later on the return. | ||||||

| 10. | Cut in later. Too late. Ended up N of stream on next spur. Pretty dumb really. Peggy caught me. | ||||||
| 11. | Up and around. Handrail on large N-S reentrant, down to the ditch junction, then down the stream. | ||||||

| 13. | Enjoyed this leg thoroughly. 50m of climb in 400m (13%) On trail past rocks and fisherman (poor fisherman), then immediately left up through saddle, contour to next reentrant, up that, attack from top on bearing and pace. Clue said shallow but map and reality were strong. No bag. Went right to see NE larger reentrant to confirm (didn't see the bag that was apparently there though). Up that to the top of reentrant that I came up. Re-attacked to same spot. Decided to go down in case it was lower and found the 2" orange streamer. bailed. Went straight up to the ridge, checked off the green reentrant, hilltop, saddle and indistinct trail at the correct locations and decided it was all good. | ||||||

| F. | Slow to drink. Ask Ted if he punched 10. He said "yes", which made me somewhat uncomfortable. Then Pat asked if it was in the correct place and he said "I'll tell you later" which made me more comfortable. Then I ran out with Pat to check it. Pass Tim on road running in. Where is Peggy? I'm starting to get buzzed at this point. Then we were eating hot dogs. Something else must have happened in between...! |
