NEOC Spring Rock Festival and Intercollegiates: Sprint A

1.	Did not plan ahead Ran too fast Read map too late +00:40	Started off just following the general crowd. Unfortunately, Loop A went a different direction out of the start then the rest. I was well into the woods before I found where I was supposed to be going. Angled over and saw a control. it wasn't mine. DOAH!. Kept going and got the control.
2.		Slowed way down to make sure I knew where I was going. I didn't want to blow a relay with stupid mistakes.
3.		Uptrail to trail bend. Cut into the woods.
4.		Up hill to the trail. Trail around to junction and into the woods.
5.		straight. Within sight of Suzanne Armstrong.
6.		Getting down the hill I veered off to the right (and so did Suzanne). Had to cut way back to get to the rock.
7.		Whole area didn't match what I was seeing on the map so just ignored everything on the map except the stone wall.
8.		Quick down the hill. Could see the walky-talky guy but couldn't see exactly where the pit was.
9.	+00:04	Was navigating leaving the control not realizing I was heading to the go control. Turned on the speed when I hit the road.
F.		tried to run hard to the finish to handoff.
