Race Evaluation

Alaska: Crevasse Moraine: Red

AK_Ian

1. Along the field from the start, to the bulge near the end. Then through the saddle and over the hill to the control.
2. NW to the large trail, then follow the trails round the depressions to the control.
3. Along the edge of the fields, then down the ridge.
4. Back up to the ridge and along it to the major trail where it descends from the hill. Along the trail to where it begins to climb again. Here I somehow lost it and ended up wandering around to the south of the control, and relocated twice to the trail.
5. NE to the ridge, then along an unmapped trail almost to the control.
6. Down into the depression, then up along the ridge on the far side. Followed the ridge to the trail. Followed the trail to the top of a hill, but couldn't find the control and decided I didn't know where I was. Ran back north along the trail and eventually down to the East to find a place that I could see the lake, then back up to find the control.
7. Down the spur, along the mapped trail and its unmapped extension to the saddle just before the plateau.
8. Started out on a fairly direct line, but couldn't make sense of the topography on the map and got lost again. Eventually Cory found me and we wandered up to the control.
9. Along the ridge to the major trail. Along the trail to where it bends right and followed an unmapped old overgrown road to cut off south. Hit the trail again at the next bend and followed it again to the top of the reentrant south of the control.
10. Up the ridge to the trail, then along it to the bend, and then throught the woods to the control.
F. Along the field.
