1. Bad map reading
Did not read control description

The terrain didn't seem to match up correctly. I went in from the fence and stopped in the second clearing, but needed to go further. The control was definitely in the circle, but not in the center.

Stayed on trail too long; should have cut straight across from due west. Wasn't feeling confident after slip on #1.

Took a chance crossing the swamp; not sure exactly where I crossed. Second area of higher ground was the one with the control.

Didn't look at the map closely (or soon) enough to realize the control was over the hill.

6. Stayed on the trail until the light green, then angled down to the ditch and the finger of grass, then crossed the road and followed the trail around. That bridge is in the wrong place...should be N 50m.

Distracted by someone else near control #6 & didn't have exit strategy. Talked to 2 different groups of people about orienteering on the way to 7, 1 stranger and 1 friend.

Should have stayed on lower trail to avoid elevation; started feeling tired & stopped reading map

Wasn't looking up the reentrant; passed the control

Followed trail S along marsh. Felt dehydrated; detoured to water and drank 5 cups; mostly walked from water to control #10

Drank too much water and walked a bit due to stomach pain. Distracted by someone else's route choice...should have stuck with the plan and stayed onthe upper trail
14. Direct route, just felt slow
15. Angled NNW and hit the lower trail just before the intersection; avoided elevation and stayed on the main trail back to the field
