DVOA: French Creek North: Green


1. +01:00Lost a minute or so while I stopped by the car to pick up my glasses so I could read the 1:15000 map!
2. Trail most of the way, then up the reentrant. People standing at the control gave it away.
3. +05:00Took off from the trail bend, but didn't go far enough (distracted by others); doubted myself, and relocated from the trail. Lost ~5 minutes.
4. Straight.
5. Throught about using the green but decided to go straight, and it worked.
6. +00:45Down to the trail and trail most of the way, but didn't confirm attack point (distracted by another orienteer).
7. Slogged up the little spur, refilled my water bottle.
8. Easy.
9. Straight on a bearing, plus I paid close attention to the slope and rock features as I neared the control.
10. Up to trail, looked for top of hill to use as attackpoint.
11. West to trail.
