R Foot, Stress Fracture

Pain along the outer edge of the foot from just ahead of the heel to just behind the ball. I don't know if this is really a stress fracture, could just be some kind of soft tissue problem, but it hurts and is clearly the result of a couple of longish runs on pavement.
Waited it out: stayed off of pavement, and took a bit of a break from running at all. I did have one serious relapse where it hurt a lot, but as of the 12th, it seems like I can run (on soft surfaces, anyway) without any pain.
