L Foot, Ankle Sprain

2007-01-31 - 2007-02-03

severity grade: 3

Slightly downhill on grass, stepped on green pine cone 10mins into run. Limped for 100m then ran semi-ok for next 30mins then after the soft-sand it stopped affecting my stride and just hurt. Couldn't walk by time I got out of car at home. Strapped, iced a few times, elevated, NSAIDs. Fingers crossed...

Healed quicker than any ankle sprain before... why?? Was a bad sprain but kept running on it for another 60mins. NSAIDs, ice and then taped all within 20mins of taking shoe off, elevated end of bed with pillow under the mattress, still sore next morning but by end of day was good. Now 3 days later is a bit tender but otherwise functional!
