R Lower Leg, Achilles Tendonitis

2011-11-08 – 2011-11-13

Grade: 3

Sat and pumped out a heap of work after my lunch time run and right calf tightened up a heap. Got up to grab some water and my right heel (achilles insertion) is as sore as it has ever been. Pain persists at rest and even a little while riding, which is a worry.
Its the same injury that stopped me running for about 5 months or so last year.
This will be a good test to see what I learned from last time and see how quickly I can recover.

Nothing but rest and trying not to aggrevate it for a few days, then some foot and calf stretching, starting super gentle and moving on to normal angles throughout the week. Super easy jogging to come back.
