L Upper Leg, Hamstring Pain

Upper hamstring, right at the attachment to the butt. Probably due to overuse. Did leg presses day before and then sprinting at track practice. Since then has been a problem off and on. Tried ice after running and heat later on in the day with inconclusive results. Finally eliminated exercise in July and August. Resumed running in September in order to get ready for USOC in October. Not a problem when jogging. Now (Dec 2011) only a problem when sitting for long periods of time.

This issue hasn't gone away completely but I can live with it as it is. It might always be a little weak but it doesn't seem to affect my running any more, nor my ability to do leg presses at the gym. I don't think about it much. It is only sore first thing in the morning as I sit for breakfast. Some things you just live with.
