L Lower Leg, Calf Strain

left calf is freakin tight all of the time, I had to cut intervals and long runs from my schedule. I have a feeling it may be due to some kind of orthepedic shit going on from riding my bike now all of the time when I am not used to it and then running. Using the stick to lossen it up hasnt helped much at all....actually dont know what else to do besides take it easy for a while.
