Calves start tightening up and hurting, then feet go numb and hurt a lot when I run. Particularly when up-hill. Let's hope stretching makes it better,

The compartment sydrome was probably cause by an inflamed muscles due to the sharp increase in exercise for the marathon training. Resolution occurs a) through rest to reduce the inflammation, and b) through stretching to help reduce tension in the muscle.

Feeling a lot better since the therapy (also able to run impromptu, which I previously wasn't able to). Cross-training is useful as it does not put too much training on my running muscles.
