L Foot, Ankle Sprain

Rolled my ankle on a steep crushed-gravel trail, on the way to the second to last control of the Ontario Champs - long. Fairly severe turn of the ankle. Hopped and hobbled to the last control. Slowly hobbling to the Go control. Turned it a second time. made it to the finish. The walk back to the car was a kilometer over a rough trail along the Niagara Escarpment. Turned the ankle a third time; possibly the most damaging during this 'walk'.

taped, wrapped, and ran. It hurt like the Dickens, but I was able to compete and train all the way through. However, I wonder if it would have healed more thoroughly, completely, and quicker by laying off and resting.
