R Shoulder, Impact wound / trauma

2006-04-05 - 2006-05-02

severity grade: 2

Slid out on road bike in rain.
Injury 1: Type II should separation. Very sore and a slight bump on shoulder. I still have full range of motion, but very painful in some positions.
Injury 2: Road rash on right hip. Basically a flesh wound (road rash). Sore to touch, but should be ok in a week to 10 days.

5 days later. Still very sore and painful, but getting a little better. Doesn't hurt when I ride. Hurts and is stiff in the morning but gets better during the day.

1 week later. I belive that this is not a shoulder separation, but a bone bruise. I can lift weights at about 80% and I have almost full range of motion. It still hurts bad in some positions though.

26 days later. Pain has gone down considerably to a ache when I over work it. I will call it more or less recovered in a couple of days.

Shoulder still hurts, but pain down to 5%-10% of maximun encountered. Will still watch it, but it doesn seem to affect my biking, weights, or paddling.
