L Foot, Impact wound / trauma

2007-12-16 - 2008-01-21

severity grade: 2

Left the road to go down a path joining onto a cycle path but didnt think to switch my head torch on. Tripped up on sudden large bump in the pavement. Stubbed my L big toe really hard then fell ripping my elbow open and tearing my good Gore top in bits .....grrrr.
Toe ached over night, half my toe turned a deep purple colour so hopefully just bad bruising (ie nothing broken)
Limping my way around now. No running for a few days i suspect.

Back running ok, but still sore on intensive runs. otta go easy on lunges and other such toe bending moves for a while still though.

Dont run down totally unfamiliar paths in complete darkness ...... especially whilst you've got a head torch with you (switched off) ... what a numpty!
