I think it is a muscle tear in my lower left calf. When I'm running, the onset is sudden (like a pop).

Not the same as the typical knots that I have had in my calf where it is a build up of scar tissue from micro tears. These were fixable with cross friction massage.

Stopped running for a month. Walked instead which didn't cause calf pain.
