Foot, Other

2009-03-20 – 2009-03-30

Grade: 3

Gout, foot ankle calf swelling. Started on travel day to Wisconsin Dells. Peak on 23 of March night. 800 advil/4hours managed pain just enough to sleep but still could barely walk. Calf felt like it would pop.

Dr. on 25th, ultrasound for blood clot on 25th, Dr again on 26th. Prednisone, antibiotic in addition to alpurinol. Could walk almost normally by next am when I left to sand bag in Fargo for the weekend. On 30th little pain without pain meds, much less swelling but could get running shoe on if needed. Although I can't run on it it and it is still swollen this episode is considered healed.
