L Knee, Iliotibial Band Syndrome

2009-09-01 – 2010-08-02

Grade: 3

Guessing on the diagnosis. Pain is immediately below the femoral head on the left knee. Gets tight and sore from running, and longer runs start to hurt the knee joint and cause swelling, likely from lack of muscular support for the joint. Will be doing strength exercises for the knee and any possible cross-training such as biking and rollerblading that doesn't cause stress on the injury. No running for now.

Lots of cross-training and strength-training and icing.
