R Foot, Ankle Sprain

2006-01-23 - 2006-02-11

severity grade: 2

Mild ankle sprain. Only noticed going downhill... three times felt a sharp pain, then immediately better. Felt this first when running (both times) this week. If I move my foot so the toes point outward (right) and up (stretching hard), I can feel the irritation. The ankle might have gotten weakened from Anza-Borrego even though I didn't notice it there.

Had a couple of sharp pangs when hiking Cowles Mountain, but on the Coachwhip Canyon WBC trip, it seemed to be completely recovered.

rest - no running or hiking for a week (only exercise during this period was downhill/x-country skiing which has total ankle support)
