L Shoulder, minor tear to biceps brachii tendon from original injury in September. No swimming, cycling or slashing for a week. You mean I actually have to get out and run? Injury ongoing as at 11 April.

June1. So now I have had 2 cortisone injections (first good, second no effect) and have been referred to the specialist. Prescribed anti inflams to keep the shoulder mobile and reduce pain.

June 11 MRI scan. results next week.
Result: Torn labrum.
Wonders of NZ health service & ACC, can't see orthopaedics until April 2011...

Meantime anti inflams giving me asthma periodically and left arm aches constantly with stabbing pain if I lift it above shoulder height. Can no longer swim train.

22/9/11 Shoulder still problematic. Can't swim 3rd cortisone gave great relief for 8 weeks but now getting worse again. apptmt with specialist Nov 3

3/11/11 Saw specialist today. Waiting for manipulation under Gen Anaesth. Another cortisone as well all before Christmas. Hopefully this will sort it out once and for all.
