not sure what caused it, maybe the hockey skates. going to take a few weeks off from skating. focus on strengthening other parts of the body and resting/stretching the legs.

rest (no running), aleve, ice, stretching, massage and an assortment of lotions, potions and salves.
avoid wearing shoes with heels (clogs/sandals only)
