This actually started 4 weeks back at French Creek. It started to feel sore after 15 minutes and I kept running for another 2 hours.
I just rested the legs, taking a break from running altogether. A couple of times I tried to come back too soon, and aggravated it. So then I just took a break of several weeks.
I should really stretch more, because I think the underlying cause is general tightness in the calves.
