| trail run over an inch or two of newish snow. had planned to bike, but the roads were still a bit snowy. saw some new markings for the "bolton loop trail" which I heard is supposed to eventually go all over the place. should make for some sweet long runs.
after a week of not training (or sleeping) and wearing only my running shoes with arch supports around the house, my feet were actually feeling slightly worse, so I'm back to wearing my adidas sandals around. |

| mostly on the nice soft grass at the building across the street from work. trying try shorter (and shorter) runs until it seems like my foot can handle it. also, ran with arch supports in today (I've had them only in my walking shoes for a week or two). ha, much easier to squeeze in a 12-minute run during lunch than a 90-minute one. |

| at vaughn hill, mostly running in the terrain. softness felt better for my foot, and I guess it's better o-training anyways. also, I'm dropping weight, but mom is staying for a few days, so maybe she can fatten me back up.

| decided I really need to do something about my plantar faciitis since rest alone doesn't seem to be doing it. so I started on anti-inflammatories (Aleve 2x2 per day) and more icing and stretching. I should also try to use some heat before training whenever possible. NBA-doctor-in-law also suggested custom orthotics, but I hope I don't have to go there. |
