bailey was being annoying, so alex suggested I wear him out with a run around the neighborhood. he's scared of cars now, which I guess is good, but that made it difficult to run with him on the busy road. maybe he'll have to be a trail dog. new shoes felt ok, they're just the new version of my old adidas.

Wednesday Oct 26

Running 36:49 [3] 4.67 mi (7:53 / mi)
slept:6.0 (injured) shoes: Adidas Resp Tr X red

ahr:170 spiked:8/12c slept:7.0 (injured) shoes: VJ Integrator, no spikes
hehe, running green today. doing well until going right past 5 and blowing a few minutes circling back. foot actually felt better than yesterday, but probably because I didn't run as long.

Green Day 2 - Splits

Saturday Oct 15

Event: Boulder Dash

Orienteering race 1:22:48 [4] **** 10.5 km (7:53 / km) +360m 6:44 / km
ahr:175 max:180 spiked:18/22c slept:6.0 (injured) shoes: VJ Integrator, no spikes
felt better than expected, but my arch started hurting on the hills towards the end. seemed like there were a lot of trail-running legs too, which was bad for me since I didn't want to push too hard there...made it hard to ditch wp dudes until we got back into the forest. the downpour didn't really bother me, and it was oddly fun to splash through all the 1-2ft deep puddles! pretty clean run considering the difficulty of the terrain.

Blue day 1 - Splits

Thursday Oct 13

Running (trail) 31:00 [3] 3.8 mi (8:09 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Adidas Resp Tr X red
so my foot seems about the same as a month ago, I guess my plan to sortof rest and ignore the problem isn't working. it doesn't seem like a severe injury, but the stretches and stuff that have helped in the past don't seem to be working as well this time. still, I should probably stretch and ice more.

Tuesday Oct 11

Running (trail) 26:00 [3] 3.5 mi (7:25 / mi) +50m 4:25 / km
ahr:165 slept:5.5 shoes: Adidas Resp Tr X red
vaughn hill short loop.

Monday Oct 10

Running 25:00 [3] 3.13 mi (7:59 / mi)
vaughn hill super-short loop. rainy and getting dark, but I wanted to at least get something in. arch feeling about the same...not bad, not good.

Saturday Oct 8

Running (grass) 29:45 [3] 4.15 mi (7:09 / mi)
ahr:166 slept:6.0 weight:161.5lbs shoes: puma h street
grass and trails at the high school. pouring rain made the ground soft. still taping my arches.

Thursday Oct 6

Running (trail) 27:25 [3] 3.3 mi (8:18 / mi) +100m 4:43 / km
ahr:156 (sick) shoes: Adidas Resp Tr X red
around the perimiter trail at oak hill on the way home. feeling somewhat better today, but still took it easy. a fair amount of climb.

Tuesday Oct 4

Note
slept:7.0 (sick)
definitely sick. yeah tylenol cold.

Monday Oct 3

Running (trail) 30:40 [3] 4.2 mi (7:17 / mi) +100m 4:13 / km
ahr:158 slept:6.0 (sick) shoes: Adidas Resp Tr X red
feels like I might be getting sick. on the bright side, my arch felt ok today. feeling a lot more energetic during my runs now that I'm slacking compared to the summer.

Sunday Oct 2

Bike (MTB) 1:06:50 [2]
~9.5mi at groton town forest. ventured onto some windy singletrack, which was mostly awesome. need more skills.

Saturday Oct 1

Bike 19:00 [2]
biked over to vaughn hill, and back a longer way. slightly nervous about locking my bike to a random pine tree, but probably nobody even saw it there.
Running (trail) 32:11 [3] 4.15 mi (7:45 / mi)
shoes: puma h street
arch felt ok. I've kept it taped (around, not along) since before my thursday run. definitly helps with support, but I guess I don't want to overdo that either. at school we always taped our arches when wearing spikes, now I have some idea why.
