I've been icing/stretching my arch, and trying to keep my shoes on (i.e. not walking barefoot). it felt better, but tight this morning, so I'm still taking it easy in hopes of a full and quick recovery. I walked with alex for about an hour (she goes pretty fast). it felt fine, except for when we started going up a steeper road, so I turned around then. probably some skiing tomorrow, and then back to running tuesday.

arch still tender today. looks like a mild case of plantar faciitis. I haven't been sleeping especially well this week, so maybe I just need some rest (along with the standard treatment). too bad, it was a really nice day (53F).

at lunch. left arch was feeling irritated this morning, and I was considering taking the day off, but instead I did 4 loops in hayden woods (5-6 inches of soft-packed snow), which felt fine. it feels better now, I probably just need to stretch it.

a little drizzle, and then it started sleeting. 2 miles in the middle on a crappy snowpacked trail.

during lunch. on roads except the last 20 minutes on snowy trails in hayden woods.

a fun session after dark. the skate lanes were packed pretty hard, so I had a much easier time than last week. balance is not very good though; I couldn't go much harder since I was mostly trying not to trip myself. a bunch of fire trucks showed up right as I was leaving. not sure what that was about.
