| running on and off trails at wachusett reservior. planned to go 2, but my arch was hurting a little, and I became very dehydrated. it felt hotter than expected, and I didn't bring any water. I was feeling pretty crappy, and in retrospect, it was probably a good move to cut it short. (post run wt 154) |

| running at baldwin hill, on the "no trails/walls" version of the map. arch felt pretty good, but maybe a little tired towards the end. it was warm and humid, even for early in the morning, and I wore my 3L water pack under the o-top but didn't fill it all the way. that worked pretty well, except it was apparently rubbing on my lower back since I have some raw spots there now. also got a nasty blister on my little toe, where the side of my old neoprene socks had came unstitched. put those in the trash when I came home.
probably the weirdest thing about the workout was that as I was sitting around changing, some wind caught my star-market smelly-shoe bag, and blew it out of the trunk before I could grab it. the wind blew it up in the air and out across the fields and over the forest, up to 50-100m off the ground. I could barely see it when it finally drifted down out of view, probably 500-1000m away! it wasn't especially windy, but obviously there were some nice updrafts. I had time to find the camera and take a picture, maybe I'll post that later. |

| in acton on the way home. at first it seemed like the FDFs had died off, but it turned out they were just waiting in ambush. arch felt better than expected, but not great, so I took it easy again. I'll try to stay in the terrain both days this weekend, that tends to be kind to the arches. |

| 6 loops in hayden woods. took it easier than planned, since my left arch felt slightly damaged yesterday evening, likely from the hard run. it felt better this morning, and pretty good when I ran at lunchtime. (I didn't go first thing, so it would have time to stretch out) if it hurts tomorrow, I will have to retroactively mark it as injury. |

| I intended to run to the lexington track the long way, do some intervals, and run back. but I took a wrong turn and ended up going past lincoln labs, so I had to start doing intervals before I got to the track, or else it would have turned into a 2 hour workout. luckily I picked up the bike path to take me back towards lexington center. |

| 5x 4mins or 1200m. first 3 on the road, made it to the track in time for the end of the 3rd, and the 4th (4:10). last one on the road also, on the way back. I think I was going slightly less hard during the intervals, and harder during the rest than I would have if it was all on the track. |

| morning run. seemed like I was going to be tired at first, but then I felt pretty good as I got going. this morning I looked briefly at the scanned maps from PG's trip, wishing I could have gone to some of those events. |
