Jukola! first leg. [ RG ] The short version for now: This was an ok run, though I was disappointed placing 629th (in reality, it was only a few minutes up to the 300s). The start was very congested; there was some shoulder-to-shoulder walking on the narrow road before the start triangle. I think only two mistakes, a minute at 2, and then maybe 3 minutes at 4. Broke my compass on the way to 12 (looked down sometime after a fall and the capsule was gone), which made things very exciting, but I did ok without one for the second half. There were enough linear things and posse members to help stay oriented, but I definitely didn't push it. Also, need to get better with numbers in Finnish.
