Orienteering race (Germen Sprint Qual) 17:26 [4] 3.5 km (4:59 / km)

MP :( Will put it down to a lack of concentration after going over on my ankle. I Also probably lost about 20s due to a dodgy control description for anyone out there who may read this what would you describe number 6 on the H-Elite A-Heat as:
http://www.orientierungslauf.de/routegadget/?act=m...

Anyway, running ok, might have had more drive if it was my national champs rather treating it as a holiday. Also strange they weren't strict about an uncrossable hedge people lent over to punch a control, you'd think al least in a national champs they'd do something about this... I ran around coming out, out of principle and had actually checked my control description to get on the correct side to start with. It's just not good practice for these poor elite athletes who will get to WOC and be disqualified.

Depending on how I imagine they would change the rules to allow people like me to run in their A final I would have been both sides of the 6 man qualification borderline.

Had to settle for the B final for 2 reasons it seems. Almost last start in the morning and first start in the afternoon...

Orienteering race (Germen Sprint Final) 16:16 [4] 3.3 km (4:56 / km)

Good race, just don't think I have the drive to push fully. Someone actually beat me by a second on the run in this time (in the A final). It's strange returning to Park Sprints as major championships after many years in urban terrain.

Would have been 2nd if I was a German, due to the best being in the A final. However as no Internationals were allowed I was 8th on the B final.

At least I didn't MP this one, Fran however wasn't so lucky and kept the flag high for AROS.

Orienteering race (Alexanderplatz Sprint) 18:11 [4] 3.7 km (4:55 / km)

Probably my best race of the weekend, not saying much as it was the easiest. Some nice route choices. German's don't seem to be very strict with their uncrossable boundaries. could reach up over a fence, I did it because I saw 5 people before me doing it and the control was manned.

3rd Place ahead of many of the faster people the following days, guess they were taking it easy and enjoying the novelty of running around this tourist area.
