LOK Gladstone Park
Same hollow feeling in the legs for the first two legs, but that passed. It's probably a combination of lack of sleep this week, poor diet at work and the time of year - hayfever last night.

Disappointed to lose two minutes at #13 and another minute at #19, but the overall result of about 15th isn't too bad considering. Particularly pleased with the final couple of splits: 4th fastest on the run in. Was behind Evan with four to go, but pulled it back.

Need to tighten up concentration ahead of Mile End next Tuesday.

Mere to Buckhorn Weston
Long cross country run with Simon in Somerset ahead of a wedding. Simon impressively running with a 9kg pack as he's training for the Marathon des Sables, and will be my OMM partner this year. Slightly lost at one point - always take a compass! - and the distance is understated by about 2km because I forgot to restart my watch.

I've started consciously slipping on to my forefoot on climbs, descents and level roads, and it feels very comfortable. This could be the start of a long-term shift to less cushioned shoes. The final 3 miles on road felt very easy and I had to hold my pace back when I shifted forwards.
