Quite vile conditions today. Strong wind and blizzard. Spent the morning trying to teach Lucy snowplough, and this was an afternoon jaunt by myself in a Sjusjoen direction. Tough. Drifting snow all over the spår, and having to work nearly as hard on the descents as ascents to get through it.

Off-road running 4:21 [3] 0.44 mi (9:53 / mi)

Tried a jog. Calf v much still wrecked. Not sure I'll have too energetic a time in the lakes next weekend. Tiresome. Fuckadoodledoo.

Spent the morning trying to teach Lucy herring boning up hill. It took patience. Then drove them down to the olympic museum for the afternoon, ending at the top of the ski jump at lillehammer. Ray skied down to meet us, so I skied back. 12k, up a mahoosive hill. The hill didn't feel too shocking at any one point, and I was glad not to have too much scary descent. Going ok, nice to get some exercise.

Sod the chocolate, I'd like some triceps and / or my skis waxed by the Easter bunny!

2hours in the morning and two hours in the evening trying to teach Lucy how to XC ski. She did ok as it was her first day, but got v tired in the afternoon, and the moaning was really testing my patience. So eventually when we got to the cafe and met the boys, I left her and destressed with a 5k burn up. It's been 5 years since we were last at Nordseter, and it's good to see how easy XC feels after all that time, tho I v nearly came a cropper when flying down a long descent, and having to hop out of and back into the tracks to pass a faller. Scary stuff!

A bit of cycling around town today, doing some jobs and getting (yet more) blood tests. Calf not happy.

I picked Lozza up from school to take him to the GP, and he cycled while I jogged along. The 5 min jog there and back was long enough to tell be that I wouldn't be running or cycling anywhere for the rest of the day.

Jogged to the canal to do reps, but calf was too bad. Just as well as I somehow managed to hit the wall on the jog back(!), and had to walk some of it. Feeling blurgh.
