Arthurs Seat. Nice day for it, and WFH so at the crags in under a mile. The novelty of living so near the heart of a city, yet so near top quality running never ends.

Got home and accidentally dropped my Garmin down the loo. Less fun. #dettol

Went to the Meadows forAlex’s session. Argi was taking it. 10 x 80secs on the grass w 60 secs. Cath Ferry was there who was a good pace for me. My legs were really stiff today but this felt ok.

Jon and Ali’s 50th birthday relays courtesy of the Wrights. Cerys stormed leg 1, I survived leg 2 and Ivor survived leg 3. 3rd team. V soft sand the whole way as the tide was right in.

Up to the Crags, down to St Margaret’s Loch, up the back of Whinny, across the Dry Dam and back across Pipers. Nice, but my legs are still totally, totally fucked from earlier in the week. Damn.

Time and distance inc job to start.

Dalkeith Sprintelope. Fun course, much discussion afterwards on best routes. Set off 2 mins ahead of Ray and he reeled me in on a sprint finish. Made the mistake of thinking that I was running a sprint race, and died from 1/3 of the way around.
