New job at the uni is very interesting but also very full on with not much downtime. No lunchtime running this week, and evening running has been sporadic. The best opportunity today was early morning, before travelling down to Ray’s brothers wedding. Weary, but nice to get out. Ran home along the edge of the broad bean field. Might have to bring a subtle bag next time...
Trotters are not famed for their orienteering skills. Richard Purkis didn’t let that discourage him though, and planned a Star Relay on Whinny hill followed by a course back to the col. it was extremely well organised, and some trotters am actually didn’t get too lost. Nice one Richard!
I had a sore knee - think I tweaked it on Monday’s hills - so didn’t do the run back. Had to head back quick anyway for the pub and Georgia’s birthday. It has been a week of big nights out. My liver is looking forward to us getting the kids back next week.
The Sri chimnoy races have the registration and changing rooms at the tennis hut at the big Meadows play park now. The Trotters usually turn up really late so they leave it to the last minute to lock up and head to the starts. But they didn’t check the changing room well enough last night and YP was locked in the changing room for the whole race! Whoops!
