Sunday Aug 11 #

2 PM

Trail running 1:30:00 [3] 10.22 mi (8:48 / mi)

I really CBA today, but went out and mooched around in the rain. Feeling a bit ill too. Think it was from the bottle of ‘race wine’ we opened last night. You know when you open a bottle, have a drink and think to yourself ‘wtf was I doing buying a bottle as rank as this?’, then you look a bit closer at the label, and remember. At least Fife AC give you Lambrusco which is unambiguous (or Skol, or Kestrel if you are a bloke. Where do they source such stuff!?!). I once won a bar of Tesco value white choc in the Fife AC Ship Inn Shell Bay Sandy Slither. 19p the race organiser had coughed up for the ladies 2nd place prize. Glad to say the quality of the race FAR exceeded the prize. Most Fife AC races are excellent fun.

Weight 59.9kg. Nicked the scales back from Peter now he has headed off to WOC. Wished I hadn’t.
9 AM

Road running 31:00 [3] 3.6 mi (8:37 / mi)

Token warm up with Laurence then ran back with a nice stranger from the parkrun.

XC / road / hill race 23:35 [3] 3.1 mi (7:36 / mi)

Porti parkrun with Laurence. Sort of glad he wanted me to run it with me as I was feeling weary and not really up for an effort by myself. This felt nice.

Friday Aug 9 #

2 PM

Road running 30:47 [3] 3.95 mi (7:48 / mi)

At my parent’s house. The loop along the Avenue.

Thursday Aug 8 #

5 PM

Road running 39:04 [3] 5.17 mi (7:33 / mi)

Seeing if I can still run fast after so much Orienteering. Down to meadows from work then three laps (10 mins each) and jog back to get my bag.

Wednesday Aug 7 #

1 PM

Off-road running 36:00 [3] 4.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Down Cowgate to AS and round the back of Whinny to the top, across pipers and then over the crags and back. It’s started to rain, which is a joy as it means hopefully the fecking dire busker that has been operating directly under our window the past few afternoons will feck off, and the street performer that has been drawing whooping crowds across the street will also feck off. Either that or we are thinking of clubbing together in the office and buying an air rifle. Bring on September.
