Orienteering - training 45:53 [3] 5.18 mi (8:51 / mi)
Sprintelope at Oxgangs
A bit late for this but it was fun. Sore knee so very much jogging, not that my body really wanted to run any faster. I think I might have hyper extended my knee at some point as it aches like hell for no good reason.

Weary, so staggering. Got to the bend on midmar and decided to go via the observatory to look for a kite. I am not keen on Blackford because of the F’ing dog walkers, and was weary up the steps but decided to keep going until I saw a nasty dog then would let myself walk. Half way up the steps there was someone lying face down in the mud. Oh feck! I had to put a sprint on, conceeding reluctantly that I might have to dust off my Brownies first aid badge, only for the casualty to jump up as I approached. It was a girl, Laurence’s age-ish on A family walk who was having an all out refusal. Face down in the mud refusal. Glad it’s not just me that has wholly unwilling children. It was just the sort of thing Lucy would do.
Went to look for the kite, which had broken free of its string on Tuesday in a gale. Didn’t find alas, but losing it was well worth the hilarity of seeing it sailing into the horizon in the strong winds. I’ll buy a cheap one again, just for the amusement (yes, that’s how dull life is just now)!
So tired afterwards I had to utilise the seat in our shower.
