Sunday Nov 21 #

4 PM

Trail running 20:00 [3] 2.25 mi (8:53 / mi)

Short and muddy outing to see if I could clear the lungs a bit. Not entirely successful.

Saturday Nov 20 #

XC / road / hill race 31:50 [3] 4.0 mi (7:58 / mi)

Still feeling ill. Turned up at the east district xc in Dundee and jogged around at the back incase we needed an extra vet woman for the league. We had enough so I punted around making sure I was keeping my heart rate down. Nice day for it and caught up with lots of friends I hadn’t seen for ages.

Just so ill right now. Ill all week so far. Felt so ill last night I couldn’t sleep. I can’t decide if this is a cold or a sinus infection. Endless snot, shivers, fever, aches, tiredness but no headache. If it’s a cold that will be the 3rd one in 6 weeks (with the vomiting bug thrown in for good measure). I’d quite like a blood test (esp as my circulation seems to be shot right now too which is very irritating. Permanently frozen toes. Why!) but can’t be bothered to go through all of the faff.

I’d forgotten quite how much better a hot mince pie with lots of brandy butter can make you feel. Ah, fantastic!

Wednesday Nov 17 #

7 PM

Trail running 58:00 [3] 5.3 mi (10:57 / mi)

Ill so I went to trotettes, mainly because heaven and earth has to be moved for me to get any sort of social interaction with friends just now, and this has been arranged a week in advance and I had been looking forward to it.

Trotettes is usually slow, and one of the women is 25 weeks pregnant so I survived quite well. Nice jog from Eilis’s over Blackford, Braids and back via BBVP. The chat and dinner afterwards was great too.

Cycle 20:00 [3]

Cycled there, and home via the Midmar roads which are almost impossible to drive through just now with all of the one way systems. Great fun on a bike with zero traffic and a hefty tail wind.
