Going against everyone else's, apart from Headly's 'better judgment' I've gone and installed a longer air shaft in my Pikes and ramped them up to 160mm travel. Seems to ride far better on the downhills and tech stuff. A bit better on the flat due to the higher BB not hitting things and not as good on the climbs understandable. I can live with that. Not into going uphill on bikes. And there aren't any hills on Cannock Chase anyway.

Note

This ranks as number 1 worst cold I've ever had. 2 years on the bounce trig race missed. Shame as a weak field this year. Easy top 10 with sub 2 hrs which was doable

Weights. Body weight barbell squats. Which is heavier than it used to be. 80kg.
Some bicep & shoulders.

Turbo trainer 30:00 [3]

Spin bike. The different one with the spd pedals on.
Took my proper shoes this time to try this other bike. Not sure it's any better as the seat post's seized up on the fore/aft adjustment so arse is too far back.
