Trig point race 2020.
Glad I ran this as I need to stop dwelling on the leg speed I used to have in around 2013-2015.. Until I had to start working for a living.
This was a pleasing run for a number of reasons. Main one was I managed to keep decent form and didn't really fade at the end. Paced it sensible. Another reason was I managed to stay with Mel Price the whole way which I've never managed to do. Granted, she didn't know the way and was probably just letting me navigate.. Although she never pursued the first lady when she passed us near Whitehouse.
Came in around 17th or 18th but numbers were down and the calibre at the sharp end was a bit lacking.
Don't think the removal of Brereton trig was necessary. Sort of spoils the reason for naming it trig race.
Still a bit sick and buggy with headaches so more reason to be pleased with it.
2x gels. Both at Morse Gorse, one out, one back. 3 cups of water, 2 out and 1 back.

Testing a flattish 5k test loop to try and find some leg speed. Couldn't find said leg speed so cut the run short.

A clockwise after circuits loop. Felt like it was harder (more hilly) this way. Pace is all over the place. Easy effort.
