With the JK out of the way and nothing much coming up, I feel like i can try and make a new start.
Main focus now is getting fit for the six days and then hopefully getting to JEC.

Monday Apr 1, 2013 #

JK Day 4: Relay
2nd leg. Was handed over to in the leading pack by Claire, but wasn't erally worried about what the others were doing because I knew I just had to try and not make mistakes because that would just slow me even more. Didn't really enjoy the course much, was in the same bit as Saturday and when you're not moving very quickly it was a bit boring to be in the same places again! Got overtaken by many people but wasn't as bad as I thought it could have been, was so glad to punch the last control and for the JK to be over!

JK Day 3: Long
Wasn't sure if I really wanted to do this race as I wanted to still have some energy for the relays left. Started and was feeling quite positive and looking forward to just treating it as a long run. But I went over on my ankle on the way to no 3 (same one as last year...) and it was really sore, so decided just to come back. Bit disappointing.

JK Day 2: Middle
Again went in trying to be positive. The terrain was so fast though and I was having to walk up all the hills, by the end I was just happy to have got round. Made one small wobble on the second last one, by this point just wanted to finish, and so wasn't concentrating enough.

JK Day 1: Sprint
Went in with the aim to have fun and to try and enjoy it. Started well and my orienteering was good the whole time, couldn't keep my speed up though.
