BUCS Relay, Danefiled. 2nd Leg.
Out on my own for pretty much all of it. Was going well and again was accurate with my compass. No real mistakes anywhere, pleased to be so accurate in the technical bouldery bits. V slow on the uphills but forced myself to run a bit before walking. Jet managed to pull us up to 3rd as well which was good :)

BUCS Individual, Ilkley Moor.
Feeling pretty rubbish beforehand and had a sore stomach/a stitch most of the way round. Also got a bit cold at the start.
Enjoyed the race though, compass was pretty good and I didn't really make any mistakes, apart from being quite hesitant to 16 and 17, felt more focussed than I have in a while. It's just my fitness and speed letting me down at the moment. Had to walk up the hills but on the flats and downhills tried to keep the pace up.
Happy with where I came, it's so much better than last year and I never expected to get into the 2nd EUOC team for the relays either.

Just took it steady as planned. No real errors anywhere and enjoyed it, though my hands were so so cold and sore until no 8.

Bit of an easier session, good to have a proper stretch at the end as well.


Quick trip to the physio to get my knee checked/taped before the weekend. Also asked about the slight pain I was getting in my shin, Heather thinks it's just from increasing running volume and I should try to stretch it off.

Was actually starting to feel better this weekend, feel like training is finally starting to pay off. But knee is pretty sore now, iced it last night and will take it easy on the running side until BUCs.
