Running 10:00 [1] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: More Mile Cheviot 3

Hate all the hanging around at relays when you're not on first leg. Managed a bit of a WU.

Orienteering race 53:56 [4] 7.53 km (7:10 / km) +80m 6:48 / km
ahr:171 max:189 shoes: More Mile Cheviot 3

SHI Relay, Leg 3.
This race could not have been more different from the individual. Was running and orienteering so much better, something just clicked. Would still love to be faster but this is the best race I've ran in a long time and my ankles held up again.
Much less faff, careful with direction in the tricky bits, sometimes walking so I got it right and running harder when I knew where I was going. Being really picky could have been more confident on 2, 4 and 17, I was a bit hesitant.
Didn't realise I'd overtaken Sarah D until she was behind me on the way to 14. Saw a Welsh ahead of me on the way to 18 and realised that I was a counter after overtaking the other Scottish team and that gaining a place could matter. She took the path route so I went straight to outflank. Nailed it, cruised past and through the last few to the finish. Really happy that in the end Scotland had done enough to win again!

Running warm up/down 12:30 [1] 2.1 km (5:57 / km)
ahr:145 max:160 shoes: More Mile Cheviot 3 Blue

To the start with Saz. Having a mare with my pocket so set off a bit late (sorry Saz) jelly babies and whistle in hand. Mumma Reynolds saved the day at the start and safety pinned my pocket for me so I could then put everything in it! Also had some Chester hugs and did some drills.

Orienteering 1:51:34 [3] 13.8 km (8:05 / km) +130m 7:43 / km
ahr:163 max:180 shoes: More Mile Cheviot 3 Blue

SHI Individual.
Not great. Physically I am not in any shape for a race this long and mentally I just don't cope with races like this very well. I don't believe I can do it and therefore I can't. Didn't really get into the terrain or map properly and kept getting stuck in brambles. And still have a cough still hanging around.
Very scrappy run. Lost time on 1, bad route and then bad direction, also bad direction on 4. Bit of faff at 7 SI unit was broken, I thought there wasn't a punch and ran off but then got called back because there was. Could feel my brain going on the way to 9 which was only half an hour in. Lost time in the circle and then big mistake on 10. Sarah R caught me up at this point and I was running near her until 16. Took completely different routes on them though. After 17 it was just about surviving the run. But made it worse by taking bad routes on 18 and 19.
Not happy at all with my run but didn't really expect anything much better.

Absolutely no motivation for a WD, went to the beach with the gals and iced my ankles in the sea for a bit/took some selfies.
On a more positive note, ankles seemed fine after running.

(rest day)

Double rest day. Worried I had over done things with my ankle and wanted to be ok for the weekend. Most of Friday was travelling anyway.

Swimming 20:00 [1] 0.75 km (26:40 / km)

Didn't have any pull buoys at the side, think I'll get my own. So was swimming with minimal kicking, but couldn't do nothing or my hips sank. Started to get some wrist pain (R) so stopped. Not really that great.

Aqua Jogging 20:00 [1]

Swapped to aqua jogging. Find it does aggravate my ankle though.
Feeling completely exhausted and couldn't push at all. Might have to have a double rest day before the weekend. I am completely worn out, still not properly better and lots of niggles. Very busy as well and not getting much chill time. Should not have ran yesterday, live and learn.

Running 21:00 [1] 3.8 km (5:32 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2000

Loop from home, longer than intended. Ankle fine when running but niggly the rest of the day. Might not run again before the weekend.

Stretching/Physio 15:00 [0]

So tight, need to find the time this week for a proper stretching session.
