Note

Spent the last week in Andorra, was so lovely to have a proper holiday where I didn't have to think about orienteering or work and could just do whatever we fancied. Did do some exercise (mainly walking in the mountains) while there but like Deeside and the Six days I'll sort that out on here later...
Ankle and slightly more worryingly L Knee (same as a couple of years ago, sigh) were a bit painful at points but think I'm still all good to do a bit of running. Will be careful.

Last day in Andorra D:
Cable car up from Canillo and then walked up a black ski run onto the ridge. Made bearable by how many marmots there were running around! Little bits of jogging on the way back down.

Climbing 1:00:00 [0]

Couple of Via Ferratas, so much fun. Really enjoyed the first one as, although it was exposed, it was just like climbing up a ladder and there were holds everywhere you needed there to be. The second one was horrible as you just had to hold onto these loose chains and put your feet on the smoothest rock ever. Definitely made me re-evaluate what is actually scary and what I am actually capable of as I did complete it. Puts some of the other times I was worried about falling off mountains into perspective...

Walking 3:30:00 [0]

Lovely dayyy, circular walk this time, up past loads of lakes and onto the ridge. Definitely one of the most sketchy things I have done when we started coming down a different ridge and we were scrambling about on a really steep/vertical slope. But I survived!

Bit of a rest day, went to the "tobotronc" which was v fun, as well as the zoo there. Knee and ankle pain flared up after the first day... Looking at it now being on my feet walking for 5 hours definitely will have had an affect, duuuh.

Running 1:10:00 [1] 9.0 km (7:47 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2000 v5

Up to Lake Juclar and then on up onto the ridge. Didn't quite get to the toppiest top bit as it was a bit too vertical. Saw some Griffon Vultures though which was super cool. Also went for a swim in the lake on the way back down. Ran most of the way back as it was getting dark...
