Easy day, little walk up The Cairnwell in the rain (was not raining when we set off).
Will eventually update the last 3 weeks...

Had a really good time on the L2 coaching course, coaching at Deeside and then the six days. Just so nice to be enjoying running and orienteering in some gorgey forests, definite Scotland appreciation!

S6D Day 2, Balfour
Not properly concentrating at the start, ran past number 2 and hesitant to 3. Settled in and was going ok until I didn't take enough time to read the map leaving 8 and was then very slow to 9. Struggled up the hill to 10. Bad direction out of 16 and went too far down the hill, found another control and faffed (~60s). Extra ride on the map 18-19 which really really confused me (~60s). Enjoyed it a lot more than the previous day though.

Scottish Six Days Day 1 Glen Tanar.
Started off ok. Then saw another control on the way to 4, convinced myself I was wrong and faffed about, definitely lost a couple of mins. Started to lose interest a bit at this point, the terrain was tough, I was really aware I had another 5 days to run and I was worried about my ankle surviving. Andrew came past me around 5 and I could still see him until 7 where I caught Saz! Hadn't seen Saz for weeks so it was nice to see her. We ended up going round the rest together. In hindsight I should have pushed on but I thought Saz was better than me and also I didn't want to leave her because I was worried about her (yes tactically not good).
Classic me to psyche myself out of the longest day...
