Orienteering race (Mile End Parkrace) 31:00 [5] 6.58 km (4:43 / km)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 4

Overall a good race. Not really any problems with my calves (although my stomach felt a bit iffy). Left knee (IT band) hurt a bit after control 14 (approx 4km in).

Errors:
#1 - #2 started running up the slope briefly before realising the control was at the bottom
#20 - #21 Got a bit stuck in the hedges
#22 - #23 reckon I went round the wrong way (ended up doing a U at the end)

Overall very happy. Two more races left to get rid of those 19th and 20th places from Primrose hill and Gladstone!

Physio session:
Finally decided to go to the physio as my calves still cramp up when running (particularly up hills). He did his assessment and concluded that I have compartment syndrome, caused by a natural tightness of almost all my leg muscles (but particularly my calves).
Recommendation is 3x2x6 stretches per day to loosen up the muscles and some muscle massage to help. Ideally in 8-10 weeks I'll be able to run without pain. Fingers crossed!

Orienteering race (Gladstone Park Race) 34:45 [5] 6.2 km (5:36 / km) +120m 5:07 / km
(injured) shoes: Brooks Ghost 4

Parkrace in gladstone (distance approximate as forgot my garmin).

Calves cramped up and feet went numb around controls #8 - #13 (compartment syndrome)... not much else to say after that. Caught the runner 1:30 ahead of me only to finish behind him at the end due to stopping and walking. Fingers crossed for Tuesday
