Orienteering 46:50 [5]

Had Matt Hill and Jarrah 2 and 4 mins behind me, went pretty well once they caught up. Heaps of poor direction through the first part, kept drifting and not realising until near the control. Could have saved heaps of time if I could of gone straight along the line. Got caught at 5, didn't have to navigate after that.
Overall pretty happy with easter. I don't regret running elites, was heaps of fun and I went much better than I expected

Overall pretty happy with how I handled the distance, hadn't done a course this long (except for getting horribly lost and standing around). All good up to 8 where I read it as the bottom of the rocks when it was further up. Then messed up 9 in the control circle, really should have read the control descriptions for both. Some silly mistakes on 18 and 19, just losing concentration. Map and course were really nice except for the long leg where you went out and came back the same way

Messed up number 1 badly, got confused by something which looked like a track but wasn't - should have gone straight along the line and seen the big hills right before the control. Also number 11 I was expecting a decent mound but it was actually in a ditch, should've read control descriptions
Not very happy with navigation, but didn't lose too much time overall

Pretty happy with this running elites for the first time, went better than I expected. Only big mistake was being on the wrong side of the gully going up to 4, also ended up going straight to 7 which wasn't too bad but not ideal
