shoes: shoes?

i told kyle i was only going to log bike rides, but this was a real-ass hike up a real-ass peak, so i thought it was okay. i really had to go to the bathroom the whole time, but it's kind of a wide fire road, so i didn't find anywhere until i got to the peak, enshrouded in fog. oh, this was on pine mountin in fairfax, CA. it's one of my favorite hikes - good elevation gain for a quick one, and instant scenery all the way up. plus, i saw a half-eaten fox, which was pretty metal.

cycling (road) hills 35:00 [4] 5.9 mi (5:56 / mi) +850ft 5:13 / mi

kyle convinced me to do an easy ride, but i didn't want my first ride on attackpoint to be some BS roll around the neighborhood. i felt like shit all day, so i just went straight uphill and back down. 800 ft in 1.75mi ain't bad.

i adjusted my saddle before the ride to move it forward a couple inches, and i didn't tighten the bolt back down tight enough, so the nose of the saddle slowly tiled skyward. the climb ends with around 1/8mi at a 15% grade, and i was holding onto the handlebars for dear life trying not to slide off the back. it was awesome.
