DAY 2/195

West Roxbury, MA; VFW/Lagrange loop, niccce and easssy (as all runs leading up to formal marathon training will be...), decided to run in my Wave Creations just to keep my feet musculature honest, very minor pain in my right foot (the foot I did something to a few weeks ago), but will monitor closely; even if something does happen on this mission to run the Vermont City Marathon in May, I've decided that I will just substitute biking, walking, or hiking for scheduled workouts when needed...just keep moving; beautiful clear, chilly morning

Splits: 8:52, 8:41, 8:51, 8:39
VDOT: 35.2 (Level 1)

DAY 1/195

West Roxbury, MA; VFW/Baker St. loop, nice and easy, have decided (though haven't officially registered yet) to run the 2018 Vermont City Marathon...the beer belly and general lack of fitness has basically reached a boiling point and training for and running a race is one of the best ways I know to "right the ship;" perfect morning for running, overcast and cool/cold, somehow my GPS mileage was short this morning* even though I've run this route a dozen times...

Splits: 9:15, 8:52, 8:34*
VDOT: 33.4 (Level 1)
