Swimming 45:00 [1] 1.5 km (30:00 / km)
I reckon I could get round a standard distance triathlon. Hypothetically. 1.5km swim complete - distance limited more by boredom than exhaustion. 10km run, ditto. 40km ride - well in theory that should be easy. In practise, that's the most hypothetical of all, as I just can't motivate to get back on the bike. I used to do 20 hours a week, FFS.
Oh, and I didn't say it would be a fast triathlon. Definitely the wrong side of 3 hours.
Rat Race Coast to Coast might motivate me to get back on the bike. If I could afford it. And if they didn't completely **** up organising their events (see #gunpowderplod). Ditto Open Adventure 2 day, though fewer concerns over standard of organisation there.
The cheaper option would be to just get out and ride. Why does this suddenly seem so hard?
