Cold. 23D with a small wind. Stayed mostly warm. Hands were cold to start but was able to warm them at a light. 95 overpass still had snow and ice. Had to go slow across it.
Didn't feel super slow but could tell it was cold and not in great shape.

Didn't have to be home to pick KT up so I decided to take the scenic route home and get a longer ride in. Rode across base, up the whole Mount Vernon Trail, and out Custis/WOD back to WFC. This was my first time on the MVT south of Arlington. The trail is windy and definitely not a place to set a speed record. I saw very few people south of the beltway though which allowed me to keep the pace up. Lots more people inside the beltway.
Stopped for a minute at Gravelly Point to pee and put on my toe covers. Didn't drink any of the 20oz of water I carried. Needed food though. Didn't snack enough at work and was bonked by the time I got to the car. Stopped at McD's for some quick food.
