Took the family back to Wilburn Ridge. Saw lots of ponies and slightly fewer people. It was a bit windy for Nut but a bit warm for the dogs. Had a water stop and gave the dogs water. They drink a lot. Need to carry a lot of water for them. Also stopped for all the ponies.

I am guessing the pack was 45# at the start.

Creeper trail w/KT and Nut on the back of the bike. A lot more elevation change than I was expecting but the meant we didn't have to pedal at all on the way back down. Was actually mostly holding the brakes. Nice ride and section of the trail though. Think this may be the most "backwoods" section of the trail. Most of the rest of it is near roads.

Was a little worried about the 23c tires but most of the trail was hard packed cinder which worked fine.

Started watch late. Added distance. Logged w/ HRM.

Grayson Highlands w/Zitch/Skip. Beautiful loop/run! Missed a turn and took Crest instead of AT/Pine Mountain. Overall pretty laid back with lots of photo ops, water stops, and map checking.

Reverse would have been better for water for the dogs but terrain/view wise was better this way. We went out of the way and searched for a spring to make up for it.

Dogs did pretty well with the ponies we passed but went a little crazy with the cattle/calf herd we ran right through :-(

Beautiful weather. Good to be back out training again. Legs felt slow but had a decent time. Watch died as I pulled up to my building.

Rode out to Dry Run (dirt/gravel) because I didn't get enough dirt/gravel in IA. No pack. Outran the storm E and then dodged it to the N.

Enjoyed the climb up Dry Run. Nice and steady and pretty smooth.

Stopped at the store for dinner. Driveway was troublesome.
