Trail Running 1:32:48 [3] 6.92 mi (13:25 / mi) +1608ft 10:59 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speedcross Vario

Pandapas Long w/Zitch/Skip as designed by Gswede. It was wet w/ lots of water even in the small reentrants and it was still raining. Started the course at CP 14 and skipped start/end controls to keep dogs away from parking areas and highway. Linked 18 to 1. Had to adjust routes at times to ensure I would know I was at the right spot since there were no flags. 8 was in a major Rhodo thicket. 10-11 was a long leg. I took a lot of time looking at the map following along and deciding minor direction changes. Probably should have focused more just on the bearing. Also had some trouble crossing Poverty Creek from 11-12 near 14. Fell leaving 6 and picked up a nice bruise on my left thigh.

Pandapas w/Nut/Zitch/Skip. 40# pack.
Nut has Hand/Foot/Mouth so I got to spend the afternoon at home with her. Instead of doing my planned stadium workout I did some climbing with Nut. Ran the whole time including all of Beast. Almost passed a MTB descending Beauty. Legs were worked but not too hard and felt good.

Track workout on my way to meet KT
4x800 @ 2:44
4x400 @ 1:18
Legs were more rested than last time but a bit stiff and tight so not as light and fast as last time. Good recovery between repeats but couldn't push much more. Shin was tight as well but didn't experience any pain. Finished right as the XC team started their workout.

Stopped the watch instead of lap at the start of my first repeat.
