My ankle is less swollen than before but still nice and purple. I can walk normally, it just hurts to over flex and turn side to side

Note
(rest day)

My ankle was really sore this morning when I first woke up, but after walking all day at school it's not really as bad. I can put weight on it to walk, but not all of it. It hurts mostly to bend from side to side.
Some people didn't really approve of my socks and sandals look in the middle of November... It's the only thing that I can fit my swollen foot into okay?!

Raid the Hammer with Nicole and Milla!!

We blazed through the scramble section (only getting mildly confused by the new trails) a then we hammered along the trail run into the nice open woods for the next section. Everything was wonderful and lovely until I got within 5 meters of CP 4 and I twisted my ankle on a rock buried in leaves. I crumpled and twisted to the group and heard that dreaded "POP" noise. (you know it's real when you can hear that noise over crumpling leaves...) Thankfully Patrick was there and dragged me out of the woods and back to the finish where Tarno diagnosed it as not the actual ankle, but the small tendon between the two other bones below the ankle. Ice Ice Baby.

Great job Milla and Nicole for finishing the rest of the course, y'all rock!
Needless to say, I'm beyond relieved that this happened today and not yesterday... I'll be going into rest mode for the rest of the month and start winter training again in Dec. Good thing too, because my legs are toast at the moment.

OFSAA XC!!
Wow, what a course!! The trails were 99.87% mud, and slippery as heck! (And super fun!!)
I had a very good start, and then right up the first hill. This winded me a lot and I had trouble settling into a groove. Stuck with a pack for some of the lead up to the big climb and then tried to hammer that steep slippery slope. Passed some people on the gradual downhill and then I started to really feel it. Breathing got very shallow and my legs were cramping. Finally got my breath before the downhill and passed a bunch of people who were taking princess steps through the deep mud with hay in top. Passed a few more people on the steep downhill into the finish, finishing in 51st (officially)!!! I finished 1st of my team and my division.
My team was 12th overall.
Can't believe that was my final high school XC race! So proud to have raced at OFSAA every season with the best girls :) (also proud I stayed on my feet today, that rocked)
Shoutout to our 2 midget girls, (one for placing 83rd!), our Jr boy for finishing 55, and our Sr Boys team!!
